I’m a Certified Holistic Nutrition Wellness Practitioner, Weight Loss Specialist, and Behavior Change Specialist.

I haven’t always been a “health food nut” and certainly didn’t know how much food actually plays a role in our overall health.

What I do know all too well, is what it’s like to be confused and overwhelmed when it comes to how to get started living a healthier lifestyle.

It wasn’t that long ago I was stuck in a place of indecision and ready to give up on finding a way to feel good in my own body ever again.

I found myself obese, with high blood pressure, idiopathic tachycardia,  numerous food intolerances, untreated subclinical hypothyroidism, and left with nothing but a shrug of the shoulders and the advice of “eat a healthy diet and exercise” as the only prescription from my doctor.

I wasn’t given any guidance or instructions on how to implement a healthy diet or find exercise that worked for me.

So I tried what everyone around me was doing. I jumped from diet to diet. I bought every new workout DVD that came on TV. I’d follow them excitedly and strictly for a week or two. And then when I didn’t see any results, or I was too hungry, or too deprived, or too sore, I’d quit. I didn’t think I’d ever have success like everyone else. I was apparently the exception to the  unspoken diet/exercise rule.

I finally came to a crossroads. I either had to get it together and figure out how to make this all work, or I was going to give up forever and just become fatter and sicker and die in my 50’s like so many others in my family.

I knew I had to take my health into my own hands. And did I ever. I took a huge leap of faith, and made the decision to go back to school to become a Holistic Nutritionist so that I could heal myself. 

And here I am, 3 years later, at a healthy weight, with excellent blood pressure, no more hypothyroid symptoms, and feeling better than I ever have in my entire life. All without restrictive fad diets or excessive exercise.

The good news is, you don’t have to go back for a nutrition degree, because while there’s no One-Size-Fits-All diet/exercise routine, everyone can make progress with the simple process I developed that led to my own massive results. I’m here to be an example of how making tiny changes to your daily habits and routines is profoundly life changing. To show you there is a way, and it will work for you too.
